18. Self Realization in Heroic Mode

Out of the smoke and ashes
a smouldering hero arose.
The quest to enlighten humanity,
to rewrite the ancient song
in the tone of the present.
A multitude of voices
would fill the air
to sing new songs
to pronounce value
to all, to all who yearned,
strove and pleaded
recognition and right.
Ambigyn would care
and help.



After frenzied exploration of colour and form, brave new characters emerged. Self-deprecatory humour was used, as only they, not others, had won the right to use it.
Out of the darkness and heady smoke of self battle, a surprising figure took their stand. A blue ball sac for a head, they held out a baby pink shield. A comic book was written about a war for clarity, but as with all wars, the truce and the peace were wrought through pain as new laws and codes of engagement were forged. Like some cryptic crossword puzzle, the name of the warrior was Ambigyn Virex. A terrorist or freedom fighter? Devil or Angel?
